I created a new toplist.tpl file, then uploaded into
/domains/mysite.com/public_html/draupnir_toplists but i get a permission 553 error ? Can't open that file. Permission denied.

I then tried to CHMOD toplist.tpl 777 but got a 550 error (cannot change permission to toplist.tpl)when i tried to upload.

    Hi,
I am not certain what is causing that problem for you, but it's probably something to do with the way you're logging in.

Are you logging in as 'root' or as a user? That is, when your FTP or shell access program asks for a username & password, are you entering 'root' for the username, or something like 'yourdomain'?

Usually if you're getting errors when trying to CHMOD, it means you're trying to alter a file whose ownership is not assigned to the username you've logged in as. If you can log in as root that should solve the problem. If you do not have root access, contact your host and tell them what you need to do, they should be able to log in for you.

    Thanks for using Draupnir!

Don't ask me why, it worked today ? Same login as i did yesterday.
    Weird huh ?

I was logging as root with a username (i'm the admin of the server) via FTP
To be honest, it's not the first time it happens (happened with other script too)

  4. The easiest way to make it upload and it will do it every time is upload the .tpl as a .txt file then change it on the server. Mine will allow to be loaded about half the time but changing the file name then uploading and changing it back to .tpl saves lots of aggravation.
