AmateurFlix,

Traffic trading was working fine while the logging was not working properly, so the issue was not a dire one one for me.

I just looked for the history file and it is there. The logs are being generated now. The logs started being generated on the 14th of April for one of the sites and on the 19th for the other site. I submitted this issue over 4 weeks ago, so it took a while before the logging process started to work.

Cron was running every minute for both sites. I could make small toplist changes and the changes would appear in my toplist. I did that small bit of troubleshooting early on to make sure cron was not the problem.

In any case, I am happy with the results I see now.

Thanks

After investigating the client's installation, it turns out that this was a matter of the draupnir_in.php include being in the incorrect location.

If one is using this script on a .php page, then it is absolutely critical that the include be located on the very first line of the page, above everything else. On a .php page, once any browser output has been initiated (even non-rendered output such as html and meta tags), then the cookie cannot be set.

I am at a loss to explain the problem which you are seeing, however I'd like to take a closer look at it if you're willing. I will contact you via ICQ later today.

Others have used Draupnir in conjuction with ST, so it's probably just some kind of configuration setting.

I have outbound traffic to trades that is minimal for the gallery clicks. I would assume that these are going out via the toplists and not the galleries.

So, it appears that it is strictly a gallery clicks problem.

hm, that's a strange one.

Are toplist clicks being credited to trades properly but gallery clicks only counted as nocookie, or are all clicks (gallery+trade) going to nocookie? The first situation would indicate that the cookie is being lost somehow when it goes to a gallery url, while the latter would indicate that it is not being set or read at all.

Other users have had this working with ST, so I do not believe that it is a compatability problem.

You are correct in that the skim problem is related to the nocookie. Nocookie hits are not skimmed, they can only go to trades via clicking on toplist links. So when this problem gets fixed, your skim problem will fix itself.

Hi pornsprite, my apologies for the delay, I haven't checked this forum recently.

I have no idea what might cause that error. That file should be automatically created every day at a certain time, so the first thing which comes to mind is that for some reason draupnir may not be running at that time, or perhaps cron is not set.

If cron is not set correctly, your toplists wouldn't update, so presumably you would've noticed that.

Assuming that is not the problem, please verify that the file does not exist. Log into your server via FTP and go to the draupnir_data/files/ folder. This folder should have permission settings of 777 (rwxrwxrwx). You should see a file named draupnir_history.php, and it's permission settings should be 664 (rw-rw-r--). According to your script, this file is missing, so if you see it then that might help narrow down the problem. If the file exists, double check that the permission settings are correct. If the file does not exist, then it seems more likely to be some type of a cron problem.

Let me know what you find, and if the permission settings are all set correctly.

Amflix

I have the script installed and everything seems to be working fine except two things..

The inbound hits are being recorded with the proper referrer, but all gallery hits are being recorded nocookie. I have tested this with multiple browsers, pcs and ips with cookies turned on.

The second problem is I cannot seem to get a gallery skim, which is likely because my hit gallery clicks are all "nocookie".

Details as follows...

Site URL: http://www.enticingbabes.com/

Rotator: Smart Scripts

in.cgi: <?php include "draupnir_in.php"; ?>

Out setting in Smart Thumbs: /draupnir_out.php?pct=65&f=1&url=#url#

The site is installed in the root as is Druapnir. ST in installed in the /st directory.

Any suggestions. As I mentioned, I have tried surfing the site in IE8, FF, Opera, Chrome, and Safari. Same results each time. It counts the inbound hit correctly, identifies the visit as "nocookie" and sends all clicks to the gallery.

I am receiving this error

"draupnir_history.php file is missing, history logs do not exist
History logs might not be generated until up to 24 hours after script installation. If this script has been recently installed or upgraded, please check later".

The site has been using Draupnir for over a month. The site is only receiving 300 hits a day and a little less than 100 gallery clicks a day if this bit of info matters.

If it is not updating stats for your existing trades correctly, then it sounds like something may be preventing files from being written to; I'm not sure what might have caused that, perhaps a change in ownership or file permissions somehow.

Before you alter your existing installation, I would recommend that you create a subdirectory on your domain (name it "testing" or something like that), set the permissions for the new subdirectory to 777, and install another copy of draupnir within that directory. Do not bother setting up cron, you'll only be doing this for testing purposes. After the script is installed, try adding a some trades to that second installation. They don't need to be actual trades, any random domain will be OK.

If you are not able to add trades to the new installation and cannot see them appear within the stats screen, that would indicate some type of server configuration problem.

If you are able to add trades to the new installation and see them appear within the stats screen, this means that the new installation is working correctly, and the quickest way to solve the problem would probably be to re-install draupnir in the root directory. Make sure that you remove all of the old files before doing a reinstall.

Thanks for your quick reply.
These problems are with any new trades, trades that I added from beginning works, but their stats are not updated correctly.
The new trades that I tried to add are not listed in tradeslist.php, nevertheless draupnir_trade_cfg and last_anticheat files were created.

Hi etylek,
A re-install might help, but I can't be certain. This is a new problem which I haven't had anyone report before, so I can't provide you with a quick answer but I'll try to help.

If the toplist is being updated regularly, then cron is functioning and the script is able to write to (some) files as it should, so I doubt if it is an install error. Are you having problems adding only one trade, or is this happening with any trade that you add? Since you say the toplist is working, I assume that the script has added some trades correctly.

If you can, FTP into the /draupnir_data/files/ menu and open tradeslist.php. Be careful not to change anything, and don't save the file when you close it. On the 3rd line of that file you should see something that starts with $tradeslist=" which will contain a list of domains. Is the domain that you tried to add listed there?

I have problem with function of the scripts. The stats on the main site(draupnir_admin.php) aren´t working. I also cannot add a new trade, better say, I can add it, but the script do not send it any hits and is not visible in stats.
I tried to set both permissions 777 and 755 to draupnir_data/files/ directory, but it is still the same. Toplist is updated regulary.
Will it help to overinstall that?

The simplest way to make sure that the cronjob is functioning correctly is to make sure that your toplists are being updated when they are scheduled to do so.

I am baffled by the behavior of your script with trade=random; if that function fails for some reason, it should just display the draupnir_out.php page as either a blank page or display an error message.

This is a little strange, I'm not sure what might be causing what you are seeing but I'll try to help you with it.

Have you added any trades to the script yet? If there are no trades in the system, it might just show a blank page, although it should generate an error message instead. When I click on http://allteentubes.com/draupnir_out.php?trade=random that just takes me back to your main page.

If you're having trouble with cron, you can also try using the "lynx -dump" command which is listed at the bottom of your site config page. Do you see any error messages listed at the bottom of the site config page?

There might be a way to copy the files directly from one server to the other without using cPanel, however that is something which you'd have to ask your host about. Maybe the rsync function would help you, however I've never used that.

If you try to copy everything from your existing server to your local PC, then upload all those files to the new server via FTP, you will have a bunch of errors relating to permission settings and ownership which would take a long time to reset correctly via an SSH client.

Hello Flix,

Is it possible to move by copying Draupnir directories and files from the old server
to the new server instead? Basically, I wish to keep the stats as well as informations
of my trades (trader, icq, etc...). Unfortunately, I do not seem to have the option to
copy an account in cPanel.

Kind Regards,

Hi A.J.,
My apologies for not replying sooner, I've been a bit busy the past couple days and hadn't checked this message board.

The easiest way to transfer to another server would probably be to use something like the "Copy an account from another server" function which cPanel provides, then make sure that all of the files and directories have the same permission settings on the new server that they have on the existing installation. Also make sure that your cron functions get copied to the new server (the cron settings are listed at the very bottom of the site config page). So long as the permissions settings and owner settings are the same on the new install as on the old one, everything should work.

Another way to do it is to simply start with a fresh install on the new server. Go to the "add trade" page within Draupnir, then at the bottom click on the small link which says "Bulk Import". That will give you instructions about how to format a toplist with your existing installation, that will be formatted correctly so that you can import your trade data into the new installation. Be aware that using this method will not save any contact information such as email or icq, the IP address of the other webmaster, or any notes about the trade.

If you have any further questions about moving your script, please let me know.

Hi pornsprite,
This can happen sometimes due to connection/routing problems. Your master install tries to download the required stats from the slave site and doesn't do so correctly, and since the prod is calculated on the master site from the hit & click data which it doesn't have, that displays 0%. It's no cause for alarm and usually fixes itself quickly. If the master install is on a different server than the slave install, this problem is more likely.

Normally this is just a temporary glitch and if you refresh the screen, it should display correctly. If the problem persists after refresh then please make sure that the slave site is up & running. If you have any futher problems or if doing the above doesn't fix it, please let me know.

Thanks for using Draupnir!

When I am logged into the my master account and look at my network, one of my slave account doesn't show any information. The link to the account is there under Domain but there is no data for Hits,SE,TRCL,GLCL. Prod shows up as 0%.

The only data for this one slave account is Domain and Prod.

The new algorithm option was off to a somewhat rough start, but this update should fix all problems relating to it that I am aware of.

The previous version of the software had a bug relating to the outlist order when "Limit Best Returns By Volume" was enabled. I do not recommend using the December 18, or December 21, 2009 versions of this software at all if you are using "Limit Best Returns By Volume". Those versions will not function correctly.

No other changes were made to this version.

Hi A.J.,
I will upgrade you to a full, licensed copy of Draupnir for free. I'll just need to know what domain(s) you intend to use it on so that I can generate a new license for you. List the domains here or send me a PM on askdx.com if you prefer.

I will be releasing a new update within a day or so which fixes some minor bugs associated with that new algorithm feature. I'll generate your license file then.

Thanks for using my script!

Hello AmateurFlix,

I read on the download page that the free license is not being updated but that we can update using the files from the free version of Draupnir. In this case, does the script still works like the free license of Draupnir or does it work like the free version and skim on outgoing clicks? I have a free license of Draupnir and am not sure what to do.

Kind Regards,

Another reminder to self:
look into problem with re-adding some trades that were previously deleted, perhaps incorporate a routine to check for any existing files if trade is not currently in tradelist and delete them if needed before proceeding with new add.

Hey guys,
I messed up with that last update. If you're running the December 18, 2009 build you'll want to update to the December 21, 2009 build. Fortunately, I don't think very many of you downloaded that, as it was released on the last weekend before the Christmas holiday.

This December 21, 2009 build fixes the following bugs:

Signup page errors have been fixed. The previous version was not allowing webmaster page trade signups to be saved correctly.

Several small bugs relating to the new "Limit Best Returns By Volume" algorithm have been fixed:

When using this feature, setting a force will now work as expected.

When using this feature, the webmaster page will show the correct quantity of clicks, if that option is enabled.

The permissible range has been expanded to 3-150 trades.

My apologies for any inconvenience this may have caused.
